Nicely done, as usual. But, I must point out that the USB mod could have been a lot easier by simply removing the small PCB from the adapter, replacing its USB cable with the longer one, and soldering its PS/2 pads to the keyboard's PCB. You could have used the original strain-relief clip, too.

I found a rusty piece of iron rebar but I cant shape it without making alot more noise than my neighbourhood is used to. I saw a video where someone hit rebar lots of times unrilit got hot, then reshaped it. I can make a hammer with a wooden handle but I don't know where to find heat resistant gloves from, plus I would need to cut a massive chunk off

I recently dug my old N64 out of storage (15+ years) and the blue controller, despite having the tightest joystick of the four, was pretty grimy, especially the d-pad. I didn't do a take-apart cleaning but gave it a through scrub with isopropyl alcohol and a soft-bristle toothbrush. Might take a look inside when my Kitsch-Best replacement parts arrive.

Here is a great tip to someone who would want to remove this old thermal paste with no hassle. Instead of using alcohol try brake cleaner it will remove it within seconds. I swear it works 1000 times better than alcohol. Even at those old fat xboxes were thermal paste is more like glue, brake cleaner just disintegrates it.
